I'll be at the Blackstone River Theater in Cumberland, R.I. and
I will open the show with a 45 minute set followed by guitarist,

It will be my first time playing in this
intimate, 160 seat theater which is known for having great
acoustics. Tickets are $12.00 and can be reserved by calling

Ray Allotta
With
the loss of Ray Allotta, I have received several requests for
the Jazz Banjo Magazine issue that contained the interview with
Ray. I have made it available through the follow link. It is
only the one article and not the entire issue. Ray was a
wonderful person and a musician. He will be missed by the banjo
community.

Banjos, magic and laughs
on stage in Aspen
Last weekend Peter Mezoian
appeared in Aspen Colorado, at the Wheeler Opera House, in a
benefit for the Multiple Sclerosis Society. He was interviewed
by the Aspen Time and he tells how the plectrum banjo is not
readily identified by the general population. It is an
interesting article to hear Peter's perspective since he is
always in front of audiences.
He offers hope that more people will
discover the four string banjo because of the new music that is
being offered by contemporary 5-string banjo players. The show
was billed as a type of vaudeville show with Eric Mead the
magician, Ted Davis the ventriloquist and Peter Mezoian the
banjoist. You can read the full story at the link below.
