ART TODD

Art was born in Baltimore, Maryland and as a boy he made a guitar out of a cigar box.  That's all that it took to convince his father to buy him a banjo and at the age of eleven he began taking banjo lessons.  During his school years he appeared on the radio with "Red Godfrey the Warbling Banjoist", who in fact was Arthur Godfrey.
Dotty Todd and Art Todd, as a married couple, worked together in  night clubs and appeared on television  shows such as Ed Sullivan, Steve Allen and Arthur Godfrey.  They released together a 2 million record seller, "Chanson d'Amour."  While appearing on television and night clubs Art primarily played guitar.
