Borgy is a self taught banjo player and that started at the age of five with a banjo-uke.  Borgy has performed in numerous jazz, dance and show bands across North America and England with appearances on the "Tommy Hunter Show", "The Ronnie Prophet Show", "Fine & Dandy", "The Diamond Lil Show", and "Sensation Swing".  Originally from Saskatchewan, Borgy first made his living as a faller in the forests of Vancouver Island, until his love of music led him out of the woods.  After years of success leading his own band in Toronto and at Expo 67 in Montreal, Borgy moved back to Canada's West Coast to settle in Victoria where he is a member of "The Dixieland Express" jazz band.
