BOB HAWORTH

THE BANJO KING

Haworth took piano lessons when he was a child but his relatives played the banjo. He decided that having a banjo in the house might brighten things up.  The banjo paid for his tuition while studying at UCLA and the University of Oregon.
In 1970 Bob was asked to join the Brothers Four.  He played and recorded with the group in the 1970s and 80s.  In 1985 Haworth was asked to work with the Kingston Trio.  Although he left the groups a few times he continues to play with them today.
