CHARLIE KHEDERIAN

Born October 31, 1917 in Kingston, New York his introduction to music was the violin. His grandfather would play for royalty in Europe and Asia. Charlie's Violin lessons began at age nine which led to playing with his high school orchestra.
A friend loaned him a banjo ukulele for a performance at a local tavern. Using the money he earned from the job he bought his first banjo. He was then asked to join "The Original Corn Huskers" that played on station WOKO. Other places the grouped played were the Caskills and the Husdon Valley.
After WW II Charlie played with a square dance group and in 1952 he formed a group called "The Musical Wizards." In 1956 he moved to Lexington, KY and in 1967  to Austin, TX
