DICK LEWIS

        Dick Lewis is a self-taught banjoist who started playing at five years of age and was the Midwest Champion on tenor banjo in 1939 at the age of ten.
       He has played saloons, nightclubs, and private parties for Elks, Eagles, Moose, Modern Woodsmen and Odd Fellow Lodges, one-room schools, for square dances, USO shows in Germany during the Korean War, and on several radio stations and a TV station.
        In 1984 Dick attended the Circle The Wagons Banjo Gatherin’ in Caldwell, Idaho, and has been performing at conventions and shows from coast to coast ever since.
