Father Joseph Dustin comes from a musical family.  His father was a vaudeville performer and his mother once lead  a 15-man jazz band.  Growing up in St. Louis he found a mandolin in a trash can and began playing it.  When he was 8 years old he received his first banjo as a Christmas present.  He was known as the "Red-hot banjo" and the "Minstrel of the cloth".
