     Johnny made his first public appearance playing banjo at the age of thirteen.  He has worked with other entertainers such as Jackie Gleason, Ed Sullivan, Nipsy Russell, David Fry and Henny Youngman. He has played clubs from the Catskillsd to Miami Beach in addition to being a soloist with the "101 Strings."
        In 1974 his career was interrupted by a tumor which took the vision of his right eye.  Johnny also has held the position of Artist in Residency at the Flint  Institute of Music.
