PERRY BOTKIN

Perry was one of Hollywood's top studio musicians.  In addition to being an accomplished musician on the guitar, banjo, lute and ukulele he was Bing Crosby's guitar accompanist for twenty-five years.  He replaced Eddie Lang when he died from complications from his surgery,
His first instrument at the age of eleven was the ukulele.  Later he switched to tenor banjo and eventually learned plectrum banjo and guitar.  In addition to working with Bing Crosby Perry played banjo with Spike Jones and Scott Trotter's Orchestra.  Perry can also be heard on  recordings by the Dorsey Brothers.
