Pete's career began in vaudeville as a band leader and he played both guitar and banjo.  After World War I he left the USA and went to London to work at the "Savoy" Hotel.  He worked and recorded with the "Savoy Havana Band" and the "Savoy Orpheans."   He formed his own band called the "Rhythm Masters" and wrote tenor banjo solos.  Unable to read or write music he had others write out his solos.    His solos include Take Your Pick, Get Goin, The Savoy Rag, Banjomania and Little Finger Tricks.
