TIM ALLAN

Tim began his professional career at the age of 16 performing at a resort hotel in Mont Tremblant, Quebec.  During his years of study at the University of Toronto Tim paid for his tuition and living expenses by performing at local venues in the Toronto area.
In 1977 he performed "The Poet and Peasant Overture" to win the championship at a North Armerican banjo competition held in Durham, Onterio.  The next year when he returned he was crowned the "Grand Champion" with his performance of "The William Tell Overture."  !978 was also the year that Tim began 17 seasons with the popular Canadian television program "Tommy Hunter."
In addition to his numerous performances Tim has written articles for magazines and he has his own instruction program for tenor banjo, guitar and ukulele.  For more information visit his web site at www.timallan.com.
