TOM STUIP

Tom started playing the banjo at the age of 12. He would have preferred a white electric guitar at the time but his budget dictated that he take home his grandfather’s tenor banjo. His music career as a performer began in the high school Skiffle Group, followed by various Dixieland bands. Later he learned to play the plectrum and five-string banjo and he has preferred the plectrum banjo ever since. Tom has performed on all continents, except Antarctica and he is a frequent guest at international banjo festivals.
