The East Banjo Club waas founded in 1963 as a nonprofit organization and dedicated to the spirit of playing "happy banjo music. Currently there are about 40 very enthusiastic members under the musical leadership of Bill Cooper, the music director since 1978. From outright beginners to seasoned professionals, the club always welcomes new members. The range of banjo playing experience ranges from several months to as musch as thirty years.
