The San Gabriel Valley Ole Tyme  Banjo Band was founded by Lee Chapman and Monalisa Lentini. While playing with another banjo group, they felt the need to form a banjo band whose music would be more representative of the Riverboat and early 1920's era. Unlike the band they were playing with, additional instruments and banjoists would be actively sought and welcomed. From the original eight banjo players they have steadily grown and now have a total of 16 band members.  The San Gabriel Valley Ole Tyme  Banjo Band has played to standing room only audiences at Danny's Kosher Pickle Family Restaurant in Covina, Ca.
