ROSE CITY BANJOLIERS

Founded in 1972, the Rose City Banjoliers consisted primarily of plectrum banjos. Also featured with the group are the ladies that play the washboard who are know as the Washboard Dears. Arrangements for their music has been under the direction of Elliot Sweetland. In 1981 band members built a float designed like a Mississippi riverboat, complete with a rotating  paddle wheel, the Banjo Belle.
