The San Fernando Valley Banjo Band started back in 1970 for one reason only and that was to have fun playing Dixieland Riverboat Jazz, Roaring 20's sing-a-longs and good old fashion American music. The Band always includes at least 10 tenor banjos, 8 plectrum banjos, banjo uke, piano, tuba, harmonium and a gut bucket and washboard. Most Band members are retired in their 60's or 70's with a few in their 80's.
