The Stone Street Strummers Banjo Band was organized back in 1981 by its founder, Dick Alley.   The band has been rehearsing and performing on a continuous basis ever since. The band features both melody and rhythm banjo players along with a variety of other instruments.  The band draws its members from  the communities surrounding Boston down as far as Cape Cod.  Members from Southeastern Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut are also active participants.
